Netanyahu bloc leads in early vote count as coalition formation remains uncertain

With 28% of votes counted in Israel's election, Netanyahu's bloc leads 59-46-15, though the gap is expected to narrow as counting continues from areas less dominated by right-wing voters. Exit polls had shown Netanyahu leading 52-49. The Change Camp has suffered a major defeat with slim chances of forming a stable government, though Netanyahu also lacks a clear path to a coalition. Lieberman refused to rule out a government with Ra'am and demanded Netanyahu's resignation. Bennett did not address the issue, while Eisenkot delivered a victory speech as exit poll projections were updated. Netanyahu called for a broad right-wing government but avoided claiming victory. Joint List members celebrated by singing "Biladi, Biladi."
