Shortly after reports emerged regarding the bombardment of gas processing plants and petrochemical facilities in southern Iran, U.S. President Donald Trump took to his social media platform, Truth Social, to issue a thinly veiled confirmation of the strategic shift.

"Remember, to all the total 'fools' out there, Iran is defined by everyone as the 'Number One State Sponsor of Terrorism in the World,'" Trump wrote on Wednesday. "We are closing their business down fast!"

The President's comments come in the wake of reports from the Iranian news agency Tasnim detailing strikes on gas processing plants and petrochemical facilities in South Pars and Asaluyeh. Analysts suggest the operation was an Israeli strike conducted in close coordination with the United States.

Direct Hits: Multiple explosions were heard at the Asaluyeh refinery, with confirmed hits on storage tanks and gas infrastructure.

Emergency Response: Plant workers were evacuated to safe zones as massive fires broke out. Firefighting teams are currently struggling to contain the blazes

Strategic Significance: The South Pars site is the world’s largest natural gas field, accounting for approximately 70% of Iran’s total gas supply.
