Italy has officially suspended the Schengen Area Agreement with Spain following the mass migrant incursion into Ceuta, halting free movement between the two countries at least temporarily. Denmark, Austria, France, Sweden, and Finland have joined Italy in calling to suspend Spain from the Schengen agreement, which normally allows free movement between European Union member states. The move comes after approximately 60,000 migrants crossed from Morocco into the Spanish enclave over a 24-hour period.

The IDF and ISA eliminated Abd al-Rahim Abd al-Hay Youssef Kardi, a Hamas deputy cell commander who simultaneously worked as a doctor at Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza. Kardi infiltrated Israel during the October 7th massacre and was involved in holding hostage Romi Gonen in Gaza City and at Al-Shifa hospital. He also held the body of Corporal Noa Marciano following her murder until the IDF recovered it. Throughout the war, Kardi continued advancing terror attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians. He was eliminated in a precise aerial strike after steps were taken to mitigate civilian harm. The IDF cited this as another example of Hamas terrorists exploiting civilian institutions while concealing their terrorist affiliation.

Al Jazeera has published a draft agreement between Hamas and Palestinian factions outlining weapons management in Gaza. The draft stipulates that heavy weapons, military production sites, depots, and tunnels will be collected and stored by a national committee, contingent on completion of Sharm al-Sheikh protocol commitments. Implementation requires deployment of an international stabilization force and is linked to gradual Israeli withdrawal from Gaza. A 14-day timeline will be established for the collection process, supervised by an international verification committee. The draft emphasizes no weapons will be transferred to Israel or non-Palestinian entities, with the national committee maintaining sole control. The agreement ties weapons handling to progress toward Palestinian self-determination and statehood.
