Hostages' Lives Threatened
BREAKING: Hamas Claims the Disappearance of Omri Miran and Matan Angrest
Hamas claims to have lost contact with operatives holding two Israeli hostages, Omri Miran and Matan Angrest, due to IDF operations in Gaza City.

Hamas’s terrorist military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades, issued an urgent statement today claiming they have lost communication with the cell holding two Israeli hostages, Omri Miran and Matan Angrest, due to intense Israeli military activity.
The terror group attributed the loss of contact to "military operations and violent strikes" conducted by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in Gaza City’s Al-Sabra and Tal Al-Hawa neighborhoods over the past 48 hours. The Brigades warned that the lives of the two captives are now in "real danger."
Demand for Military Pause
In an unprecedented move, the Al-Qassam Brigades issued specific demands to the Israeli military, tying any chance of locating the hostages to an immediate cessation of hostilities. The terror group called on the IDF to immediately halt all airstrikes for a period of 24 hours, commencing at 6:00 PM local time today, and further demanded that the IDF withdraw from the area south of Gaza City's 8th street.
The stated purpose of these demands is to allow Hamas operatives to search for and retrieve the hostages. The claim comes as the IDF continues its efforts to deepen operational control across the Gaza Strip, and the fate of the remaining hostages remains the most sensitive point of contention in Israel's political and military strategy. Omri Miran and Matan Angrest were among those kidnapped during the Hamas assault on southern Israel on October 7, 2023.
