In a daring overnight operation that highlights the absolute reach of Israeli intelligence, the Israel Defense Forces successfully eliminated five senior commanders from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard’s Quds Force. The strike, executed by the Israeli Navy following precise data from Military Intelligence, targeted the officers while they were meeting at a civilian hotel in the heart of Beirut. These individuals served as the primary glue between the Iranian regime and its various proxies, including the Hezbollah and Hamas terrorist organizations. This decapitation of the "Lebanon Corps" and "Palestine Corps" of the Quds Force marks a devastating blow to Iran’s ability to synchronize its regional war efforts, coming just one week after the elimination of the corps commander, Daoud Ali Zadeh.

The Targets of the Hotel Strike

The IDF has released the names of the key figures killed in the hotel, revealing a significant loss of institutional knowledge for the Iranian regime. Among the dead is Majid Husseini, the man responsible for the massive transfer of funds to the regime’s proxies in Lebanon. Husseini managed the financial lifelines for Hezbollah and Hamas, and was also a key figure in the local production of advanced weaponry. Alongside him, the Israeli Navy neutralized Ali Reza Bi-Azar, the head of the Lebanon Corps intelligence branch, and Ahmad Rasouli, the intelligence chief for the Palestine Corps. Both men were considered "knowledge centers" in the field of research and surveillance, tasked with gathering data on Israeli targets for use by Palestinian terrorists in both Lebanon and the Gaza Strip.

The Octopus Strategy

The operation also claimed the lives of Hossein Ahmadlou, an intelligence operative focused on spying on the State of Israel, and Abu Muhammad Ali, who served as the official Hezbollah representative to the Quds Force’s Palestine Corps. Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, speaking during a situation assessment at Home Front Command, described Hezbollah and these Iranian commanders as integral parts of a larger "Iranian octopus" that is being systematically dismantled. "Hezbollah is an extreme arm of the Iranian octopus," Zamir stated, "it is paying and will continue to pay a heavy price." The Chief of Staff emphasized that the elimination of these figures in Beirut proves that there is "no safe place" for Iranian proxies anywhere in the Middle East.

A War for the Long Term

Despite the high profile successes in Beirut and Tehran, General Zamir warned that the war is far from over. He acknowledged the continued rocket fire on northern Israeli communities and sent his condolences to the families of those killed in recent attacks, while wishing a speedy recovery to the wounded. "Israel has been in a continuous state of emergency for two years now," Zamir noted, urging the public to maintain "persistence and patience." He made it clear that while the IDF is aggressively hunting the "heads of the snake," the process of ensuring long-term security will take a significant amount of time. He expressed total confidence in the resilience of the Israeli home front to provide the necessary support for the military to achieve its ultimate goals.

Severing the Terror Sync

The Lebanon Corps of the Quds Force has long functioned as the central nervous system for Iranian operations in the Levant. Its officers are responsible for ensuring that the various terrorist groups in Lebanon act in coordination with Tehran’s strategic interests. By hiding in a civilian hotel, these commanders hoped to use the presence of non-combatants as a shield, but the IDF’s precision strike neutralized the threat while minimizing peripheral damage. With the financial manager, the intelligence chiefs, and the Hezbollah liaison all removed in a single night, the synchronicity of the Iranian war machine has been severely compromised, leaving the remaining operatives in Lebanon without a clear hierarchy or a secure method of communication.
