Dancing with the Stars Judge Faces TikTok Backlash

Three judges from Israel's "Dancing with the Stars" Eli Mizrahi, David Dvir, and Chaim Perstein, joined a popular TikTok dance trend and posted a video of themselves performing together on social media. What was intended as a lighthearted moment quickly sparked significant online reaction, with much of the commentary focused specifically on Dvir's lacklustre performance.

The three judges, who serve on the panel alongside Anna Aronov, performed the dance routine together. However, many viewers were unimpressed with Dvir's execution, and he became the target of harsh criticism regarding his dancing abilities in the comments section.

Questions About Judging Credentials

Some social media users questioned how Dvir could evaluate contestants on a dance competition program and assign them scores when his own performance in the video was, in their view, inadequate. Others more directly attacked his dancing skills, suggesting the clip raised doubts about his qualifications to serve on the judging panel.

It's worth noting, however, that a brief TikTok video does not reflect Dvir's extensive professional experience in the world of dance, which spans several decades.

Dvir, 76, is a veteran dancer, choreographer, and dance instructor who has held numerous professional positions in the field throughout his career. Despite his considerable experience, online commenters showed little leniency, and critical responses to the video continued to accumulate.

As of now, Dvir himself has not publicly addressed the criticism directed at him following the video's release.
