Israel Karaoke Chart 2025: Eyal Golan Tops Annual Rankings

Israel's leading karaoke company, Sharim Karaoke, has released its official rankings for the Hebrew year 5786 (2025-2026), drawing on hundreds of thousands of user selections across karaoke platforms nationwide. The annual chart offers a unique window into Israeli musical preferences—not just what people listen to, but which songs they choose to sing themselves at karaoke rooms, parties, and through mobile apps.

Sharim Karaoke, one of Israel's oldest and largest providers in the field with over three decades of operation, compiled the data from a wide range of sources including karaoke venues, licensed operators, websites, mobile applications, and streaming services. The company maintains one of the country's most extensive karaoke catalogs.

Leading the artist rankings, singer Eyal Golan claimed the title of most-requested male artist in karaoke for 5786, while Eden Ben Zaken earned the corresponding honor among female vocalists. The group Haproyekt Shel Revivo (Revivo's Project) topped the bands category, and Ben Tzur was named breakthrough artist of the year in karaoke.

The most-requested individual song went to Peer Tasi's "Ma Yihiye Machar" (What Will Be Tomorrow), which surpassed major hits including Eyal Golan's "Ir Namal" (Port City) and Sasson Ifram Shaulov's "Tamid Ohev Oti" (Always Loves Me), which took second and third place respectively.

The top ten most-requested karaoke songs for 5786 feature a diverse mix of Israeli hits. Following Peer Tasi's chart-topper are Eyal Golan's "Ir Namal," Sasson Ifram Shaulov's "Tamid Ohev Oti," Omer Adam's "Malkat Hador" (Queen of the Generation), and Eden Ben Zaken's "Rolex VeKasket" (Rolex and Cap).

Rounding out the top ten are Itay Levi's "Ein Li Makom Acher" (I Have No Other Place), Osher Cohen's "Menagen VeShar" (Playing and Singing), Hanan Ben Ari's "Atalef Iver" (Blind Bat), Ben Tzur's "Abba" (Father), and Nes VeStilla's "Migdalim" (Towers). Notably, both "Ir Namal" and "Atalef Iver," released approximately three years ago, continue to hold positions in the top ten—demonstrating the staying power of genuine hits.

Among the top five male artists, Eyal Golan leads, followed by Peer Tasi, Omer Adam, Osher Cohen, and Itay Levi. In the female category, Eden Ben Zaken takes first place, with Odelia, Sarit Hadad, Nasrin Kadri, and Noa Kirel following.

The most-requested musical groups are led by Haproiekt Shel Revivo, followed by Nes VeStilla and Subliminal VeHatzel. The rankings reflect the broad spectrum of Israeli musical taste, spanning Mizrahi (Middle Eastern-influenced) music to contemporary Israeli pop.

Avi Patman, CEO of Sharim Karaoke, explained: "Karaoke gives us a very interesting picture of Israeli taste. The audience isn't just listening to a song or pressing play—they're choosing to get up and sing it themselves. When you look at millions of uses throughout the year, you can see which songs and artists have truly entered the public's heart."

Patman elaborated on a particularly revealing trend: "One of the interesting things we see over the years is that a good song doesn't disappear. Alongside new hits, there are songs that continue to stay at the top even years after their release. Eyal Golan's 'Ir Namal' and Hanan Ben Ari's 'Atalef Iver,' which came out about three years ago, are still in this year's top ten most-requested songs. For me, this is one of the strongest indicators of a real hit, not just how many listened to it when it came out, but how many people still want to get up and sing it years later."

The annual karaoke chart has emerged in recent years as an intriguing and meaningful metric for understanding Israeli musical taste and unlike passive listening statistics, karaoke selections reveal which music resonates deeply enough that people want to perform it themselves.
