US Vice President’s visit to Israel tomorrow will cause major traffic disruptions near Ben Gurion Airport, including road closures on Route 1, diverted flights, and travel delays.

Due to the visit of the US Vice President tomorrow (Tuesday), significant traffic and travel disruptions are expected in and around Ben Gurion Airport.

Traffic and Road Closures:

  • Route 1 (Tel Aviv–Jerusalem) and airport access roads will experience closures and delays from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, with expected delays of 20–45 minutes.
  • Afternoon motorcades on Route 1 and Begin Highway between 1:00–3:00 PM may result in rolling closures, causing up to 30-minute delays for commuters.

Air Travel:

  • Travelers are advised to arrive at least 4 hours before departure and to use the train for airport access.
  • International flights from Terminal 1 scheduled between 11:30 AM and 4:45 PM will be diverted to Terminal 3.

Public Transport:

  • Buses and trains are not expected to be affected.

Authorities urge travelers and commuters to plan ahead and allow extra time to avoid disruptions.
