Brooke Goldstein, a fiery human rights lawyer and filmmaker, slipped into Gaza this week to see the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) in action, and what she found was a gut-punch: Hamas is hijacking aid meant for starving Gazans, while GHF is battling to get food to those who need it most. The founder of The Lawfare Project, Goldstein went to counter what she calls a “flat-out lie” about GHF’s work, which has delivered over 125 million meals since May 2025. Goldstein visited GHF’s aid sites, including one in Rafah, where she saw a gritty operation up close. On August 8, Goldstein watched GHF hand out 26,784 food boxes across three sites, plus extras like potatoes and nutrition packs with Samaritan’s Purse. She saw Palestinian workers risking their lives to help, knowing Hamas has put bounties on their heads. “Food is Hamas’s weapon,” Goldstein said, pointing out how the group steals aid to control Gaza’s desperate population.
