The terrorist Musbah Salim Musbah Dayyah, who served as the head of the Mujahideen terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip, was eliminated.

The IDF announced this Wednesday morning the elimination of Musbah Salim Musbah Dayyah, the ruthless commander of the Mujahideen terror organization in Gaza, the same group that kidnapped and murdered Shiri Bibas and her two children during the October 7 massacre.

Dayyah was struck in a precise joint operation between the IDF and Shin Bet while hiding in the Nuseirat area. His death marks the fourth senior Mujahideen figure taken out in recent months, further dismantling the group’s leadership.

The Mujahideen faction, known formally as Kataib al-Mujahideen, may be small, but its fighters are considered among the most dangerous in Gaza. Security sources describe the group as “lethal and elusive,” a tightly compartmentalized network that has long managed to evade Israeli intelligence.

Founded during the Second Intifada by Fatah defectors who embraced radical Salafi ideology, the group has been responsible for a bloody trail of kidnappings, executions, and cross-border attacks. On October 7, its operatives were among the first to storm Israeli territory, taking part in mass killings and abductions.

Beyond the Bibas family tragedy, Mujahideen terrorists also executed Israeli-American-Canadian couple Judy Weinstein Haggai and Gad Haggai, and murdered Thai workers held captive in Gaza.

Over the past year, the IDF has methodically targeted the group’s senior command. Strikes in June eliminated its military wing leader Mahmoud Muhammad Hamid Kuhail (Abu al-Mu’tasim) and its political head As’ad Abu Sharaiya. Dayyah’s killing is seen by officials as another severe blow to the organization’s operational chain.

“The Mujahideen may not have the numbers of Hamas,” one Israeli defense source said, “but they have blood on their hands and they are being hunted down, one by one.”
