HAIFA TRAGEDY: Four Victims Found Dead Under Rubble Following Direct Missile Strike

Tragedy in Haifa as rescue teams recover the bodies of an elderly couple from the rubble of a collapsed building, bringing the death toll to four. An IAF probe reveals an Iranian missile malfunctioned and broke apart mid-air, bypassing air defenses before striking the residential site.

A grueling overnight rescue operation in Haifa ended in tragedy this morning (Monday) as search teams located the bodies of a man and a woman, both approximately 80 years old, beneath the ruins of a collapsed residential building.

The recovery brings the total death toll from last night’s direct strike to four. MDA paramedics were forced to pronounce the couple dead at the scene following hours of complex extraction efforts by Home Front Command, Fire and Rescue services, and MDA volunteers.

In addition to the elderly couple, the body of a 35 year old woman and the body of a 40 year old man were also recovered.

IAF Investigation: Why the Interception Failed

As crews continue to clear the concrete debris, the Israeli Air Force (IAF) has released preliminary findings from its investigation into the strike.

The investigation reveals that the Iranian-launched missile suffered a major technical malfunction while still at a high altitude, causing it to break apart mid-air. This early disintegration created a fatal complication:

Rescue teams remain on-site to secure the area and ensure no further victims are trapped beneath the wreckage.
