Disturbing video evidence have confirmed that the ordeal of former captive Matan Angrest, the IDF soldier seized during the October 7 massacre, began with immediate, savage physical abuse at the moment of his capture.

Footage from the day of the attack on Kibbutz Nahal Oz shows terrorists violently attacking Angrest as they pulled his "limp body" from his tank, a unit devastated in the assault. The disturbing video reveals multiple invading gunmen kicking the severely wounded soldier before dragging him into Gaza.

This initial brutality, however, was not the end. Testimonies released following the return of other hostages have painted a chilling picture, confirming that the abuse Angrest suffered only escalated once he was taken into the Strip. These accounts detail continuous physical and psychological torture, underscoring the severe and complex medical condition he faced upon his eventual release.

Angrest was abducted alongside the bodies of his fallen comrades from the tank unit: Itai Chen, Daniel Peretz, and Tomer Leibovitz.
