The IDF Spokesperson confirmed this morning (Wednesday) that the army killed terrorist Khaled Ahmed Ahmed in Sidon in southern Lebanon, who served as the head of operations for Hamas' western brigade in Lebanon. He noted that the terrorist promoted terror attacks against Israel and acted to transfer weapons.

The Spokesperson's Office said in a statement: "Earlier today, the IDF attacked in the Sidon area and eliminated terrorist Khaled Ahmed Ahmed, who served as the head of operations for the Western Brigade of the Hamas terrorist organization in Lebanon and promoted terrorist attacks against the State of Israel."

It was also noted that "during the war, the terrorist promoted many terror plots against IDF soldiers, the State of Israel and its citizens. In recent times, he has been active in transferring weapons and carrying out attacks against the State of Israel. Ahmad's activity posed a threat to the State of Israel and its citizens. The IDF will continue to act against the terrorists of the Hamas terror organization wherever they operate."

Shortly before 6 a.m. this morning, the Lebanese channel Al-Manar, which is considered Hezbollah's mouthpiece, reported that "Israeli aircraft bombed a vehicle in the area of the villas in the coastal city of Sidon in southern Lebanon." The attack took place in the Maya Almiyya refugee camp.
