"We Paved the Way to Tehran": IDF Chief Reveals Stunning New Front in Shadow War

In a dramatic statement signaling a strategic escalation, IDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir declared that Israel’s Air Force has completed a comprehensive and unprecedented series of strikes on Iranian territory, targeting key regime infrastructure and elements of Iran’s nuclear program.

The remarks were made during a high-level operational assessment held Sunday at the Israeli Air Force command center, attended by Air Force Commander Major General Tomer Bar, Chief of Air Staff, the Head of Air Operations, and additional senior commanders.

According to the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit, the Chief of Staff visited both the air defense and offensive operations units in action during the ongoing strikes in Tehran. He praised their efforts and emphasized the strategic importance of their mission.

“The offensive operations we are conducting in Iran are changing the strategic reality for the State of Israel,” said Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir. “We are removing an existential threat and reinforcing our national security. The IDF, through the Air Force, has completed the paving of the way to Tehran and is striking the regime’s infrastructure and nuclear program in a precise and wide-ranging manner that the enemy did not anticipate.”

General Zamir also addressed the vital role of Israel’s home front and defense systems in maintaining national resilience amidst this escalation.

“The defense effort and the resilience of the home front are critical,” he said. “I wish to extend my condolences to the families of the fallen and call on everyone to continue acting responsibly and to follow the instructions of the Home Front Command.”

“A strong home front gives us the strength to continue our mission,” he concluded. “We will persist with determination, strength, responsibility, and in full cooperation with all branches of the security forces until all of our objectives are achieved.”

The statement comes amid heightened tensions in the region, signalling a new phase in Israel’s confrontation with Iran over its nuclear ambitions and regional activities.
