Golani Brigade Wipes Out Hamas Stronghold in Gaza
Watch: IDF destroys Hamas training base with mock tank, eliminates terror cell
The IDF Golani Brigade destroyed a Hamas training base in southern Gaza, including a mock IDF tank and eliminated a terror cell responsible for an earlier attack. In a separate strike, IDF and Shin Bet targeted a Hamas commander planning attacks, while continuing efforts to dismantle terrorist infrastructure across the region.

Golani Brigade Eliminates Hamas Terror Cell and Destroys Training Facility in Gaza
Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) troops from the Golani Brigade continue their operational campaign in the Morag Corridor, located in the Rafah sector of southern Gaza. During recent operations, the brigade discovered and destroyed significant Hamas terrorist infrastructure, including an advanced training compound operated by the group’s Shaburah Battalion.
The facility contained a full-scale mock-up of an IDF tank and served as a training ground for Hamas terrorists. Alongside this, IDF troops uncovered and dismantled a weapons cache and various operational sites used by terrorists in the area. This targeted action is part of the broader IDF effort to weaken Hamas' military capabilities and protect Israeli civilians.
In a successful counter-terrorism follow-up, Golani forces closed the loop on a previous attack. Last week, a Hamas terror cell fired on the brigade. In the latest operation, two members of that cell were eliminated by IDF ground troops during an exchange of fire. The third member of the cell was later killed by an Israeli Air Force (IAF) drone strike.
In a separate development, the IDF and Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) jointly targeted a Hamas operative located inside a command and control compound in the Jabaliya area. This operative had been planning and executing attacks against both Israeli civilians and IDF personnel. The Israeli forces emphasized that numerous measures were taken ahead of the strike to minimize civilian harm, including the use of precision-guided munitions, aerial surveillance, and detailed intelligence.
The IDF criticized Hamas for consistently violating international law by using civilian infrastructure and the local population as human shields for its terror operations. According to the military, operations in the Gaza Strip will continue as needed to eliminate terrorist threats and maintain the safety of the State of Israel.
