IDF forces continue operations in Gaza City under 'Gideon's Chariots B' target terrorist cells and infrastructure.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) are continuing their operation in the Gaza Strip, known as "Gideon's Chariots B," with focused fighting in the area of Gaza City.
A recent incident highlighted the fast-response protocol between ground troops and the air force:
Forces from the Golani Brigade, operating under the 36th Division in Gaza City, identified five Hamas terrorists who fired an anti-tank missile (ATGM) at a building they were occupying. No Israeli soldiers were hurt in the attack.
The Golani forces, working with the brigade's fire complex, quickly coordinated with the Israeli Air Force (IAF). An IAF aircraft eliminated the terrorists in a fast "sensor-to-shooter" strike, closing the engagement cycle immediately. Footage of the elimination was released by the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit.
Last week, IDF soldiers spotted several terrorists digging into the ground with the intent of emplacing explosive charges while attempting to hide beneath blankets. In a precision strike carried out by an IAF aircraft, the fighters were killed.
Ongoing Operations
IDF Spokesperson reports that the push to conquer Gaza continues with coordinated efforts across divisions:
Division 98 has deepened its operational control in Gaza City, destroying military infrastructure and eliminating a number of terrorists in coordination with the Air Force.
Division 162 forces are also operating in Gaza City, destroying buildings and combat positions belonging to terror organizations.
n the southern part of the Strip, Division 143 eliminated terrorists, observation posts, and military infrastructure.
Over the past 24 hours, the IAF attacked approximately 140 terror targets across the Gaza Strip, including military compounds, armed operatives, and other terrorist infrastructure.
