Teheran buckling
Is Iran waving a white flag? Asks Oman and Qatar to mediate with U.S. to halt Israeli strikes
With Israeli attacks intensifying, Tehran scrambles for talks, and a lifeline.

According to an exclusive report on i24NEWS, Iran contacted Oman and Qatar today (Sunday) asking them to act as mediators with the United States in an attempt to halt the Israeli attacks and renew negotiations.
The Iranian move indicates a desire to calm the situation and avoid further escalation, likely in response to the intensity of the recent Israeli strikes against its nuclear and missile facilities.
In parallel to the Iranian request, the report indicates that Saudi Arabia is also trying behind the scenes to promote a sort of ceasefire. Saudi Arabia, which seeks regional stability and a reduction in tensions with Iran, sees the renewal of diplomatic talks as a way to resolve the crisis.
Additionally, Iranian Foreign Minister Araqchi spoke with foreign ambassadors and told them: "We do not wish to expand the war to the region - if the aggression stops, our responses will also cease."
