Iran under relentless assault
Iran: We thwarted largest cyber attack in our history against us
Iranian news agency Tasnim: the attack on the country's infrastructure is "one of the most complex and extensive" Iran has ever known.

Iran's Tasnim news agency reported this morning (Monday) that Iran's Telecommunications Infrastructure Company had thwarted a "major cyber attack" against the country's infrastructure. According to the report, the attack was "one of the most complex and extensive" Iran has ever known.
The CEO of the Iranian Telecommunications Infrastructure Company said: "Yesterday we stopped a significant cyber attack, the attack was identified and steps were taken to stop it."
The cyberattack comes about a day after an explosion occurred at the port of Bandar Abbas in southern Iran, sparking a large fire in which about 40 people were killed and more than 1,200 were injured. On the same day, Iran held another round of nuclear talks with the United States.
Footage released last night from the site of the explosion shows a huge crater created as a result of the fire. This indicates very powerful materials that went up in flames and caused a lot of destruction. Iran reported last night that the damage from the intensity of the blast reached a distance of five kilometers from the area of the explosion.
The New York Times quoted an Iranian official as saying: "The containers that exploded at the port in Iran contained solid fuel for the missiles imported from China. The explosion caused damage to Iran's largest and most strategic port."
Last night, Mohammad Siraj, a representative of the residents of Tehran at the Islamic Consultative Assembly, accused Israel of being responsible for the explosion at the port. In an interview with the Iranian news channel Roqana about the explosion at the Shahid Rajai port, Siraj said that "this incident was not accidental in any way and there are clear signs of the Zionist regime's intervention in it."
