"Gates of Hell Will Open": Israel Threatens Full-Scale Offensive on Gaza

The IDF’s Options to Bring Down Hamas

After Hamas rejected the terms of a potential deal, Israel is preparing for a renewed military campaign. The IDF reports full readiness, stating: "We are ready for the order." Among the potential strategies under consideration: reserve call-ups, a large-scale ground maneuver, or a combined air and ground assault. A senior political official warned, "If Hamas doesn’t fold – the gates of hell will open on Gaza."

With Hamas refusing any agreement, Israel is actively considering several options for returning to intense combat in the Gaza Strip. Currently, the IDF controls the entire buffer zone, 70% of the Netzarim Corridor, and the Morag route is fully paved. The Philadelphi Route remains under IDF control, effectively encircling Rafah. In northern Gaza, around 250,000 residents continue fleeing southward, many protesting against Hamas.

A senior political source said this evening: "In the coming days, Hamas will feel the full weight of military pressure. Don’t be misled by the relative calm — we are on the path to defeating this terrorist organization."

So, what are the possible routes to achieving this goal? Following the halting of humanitarian aid, the cutoff of electricity to desalination facilities, and the paving of the Morag route, the IDF has informed the political echelon: "We are ready for the order." The first sign of escalation will likely be a reserve mobilization, as the current force alone is insufficient for an intensive maneuver.

Option 1 – A powerful aerial assault by the Air Force targeting a series of objectives.

Option 2 – The IDF recruits additional divisions and begins ground maneuvers in several areas simultaneously.

Option 3 – A combined air and ground campaign, a method proven effective in the past. Air power and aggressive ground maneuvers would be launched in tandem.

After a year and seven months of ongoing conflict, the IDF now has an abundance of munitions and continued legitimacy from the United States. The only thing left is a decision. As the senior official emphasized: “If Hamas does not retreat in the coming days, the gates of hell will truly open on Gaza.”
