Heat Wave Peaks in Israel This Week

Temperatures will climb through Tuesday, particularly in mountainous and inland areas, before a slight drop on Wednesday—though conditions will remain warmer than typical for the season

Israel is experiencing a warming trend that will intensify through midweek, with temperatures climbing above seasonal norms and heat conditions becoming increasingly uncomfortable across most of the country.

Monday's weather began with partly cloudy skies in the morning, clearing to pleasant conditions later in the day. Temperatures are rising slightly, especially in mountainous and inland regions, reaching levels somewhat above the seasonal average. Residents across most areas of the country will feel the increased heat burden. Overnight conditions will remain partly cloudy to clear.

Tuesday is forecast to bring the peak of the heat wave. The day will start partly cloudy before clearing, with another incremental temperature increase particularly affecting highland and interior areas. Temperatures will be notably above normal for this time of year, and the heat will feel more oppressive than on Monday.

Partial relief arrives Wednesday, though only partially. After a partly cloudy morning giving way to pleasant afternoon conditions, temperatures will drop slightly—again most noticeably in mountainous and inland zones. However, even with this decrease, temperatures will remain somewhat elevated compared to seasonal norms.

Forecast temperatures for Monday and Monday night across major cities:

Jerusalem: 18-28°C (64-82°F)
