Israel increases strikes in Kermanshah, Hamadan, and Tabriz
Precision Strikes, Massive Damage: Israel Expands Campaign Inside Iran
Israel has launched a series of airstrikes targeting strategic Iranian sites, including nuclear facilities, as part of a military operation aimed at disrupting Tehran’s capabilities. The ongoing campaign heightens regional tensions, with Israel preparing for possible retaliation while managing domestic security challenges.

Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) continued their extensive military campaign, dubbed Operation “Rising Lion,” targeting strategic sites across Iran, including the Natanz nuclear facility and cities like Kermanshah, Hamadan, and Tabriz in the west. The operation aims to disrupt Iran’s military and nuclear capabilities, with reports indicating significant damage to Natanz, a key uranium enrichment site. IDF spokesperson Brigadier General Efi Dfrin addressed the media, stating, “Our forces are currently striking targets throughout Iran, focusing on impairing the military and nuclear capabilities of the regime.” He urged the public to remain patient amid rising security tensions, adding, “The public in Israel is requested to show patience in light of the increasing security tensions and to follow Home Front Command guidelines.”
The strikes, combining precision airstrikes and intelligence operations, have targeted critical Iranian infrastructure, with the IDF releasing a 3D illustration showcasing the scope of the attacks. Natanz, central to Iran’s nuclear program, sustained heavy damage, marking it as a primary target in the overnight assault. The campaign follows months of escalating tensions, including Iran’s launch of over 200 missiles at Israel in October 2024 and ongoing proxy attacks by Hezbollah and the Houthis, which have killed dozens and displaced thousands in northern Israel. Iran’s uranium enrichment at 60% near weapons-grade has heightened fears of its nuclear ambitions.
Israel is bracing for potential Iranian retaliation, with heightened military deployments in sensitive areas and updated civilian guidelines. Dfrin emphasized the operation’s precision, noting, “Our forces continue to strike with maximum accuracy to neutralize threats.” The campaign, expected to persist, comes amid Israel’s airspace closure and emergency measures, with 53 hostages still held by Hamas in Gaza. The operation underscores Israel’s determination to counter Iran’s regional influence, risking further escalation in an already volatile region.
