Israel's security establishment has completed a comprehensive situational assessment, with Defence Minister Israel Katz declaring that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are fully prepared for an immediate renewal of military operations against Iran.
The high-alert status comes amid direct threats from Tehran and intense monitoring of the Iranian regime following the recent funeral of former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Israeli military officials indicate that the IDF's defensive and offensive operational plans are reviewed weekly, and concrete intelligence regarding threats to the Israeli home front is driving immediate readiness.
According to defense officials, any upcoming military response will differ significantly from previous rounds, aiming to strike critical infrastructure to cripple the regime’s capabilities.
- Command Targets: Deep targeted operations aimed at completing the dismantling of the Khamenei leadership dynasty and senior Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) commanders.
- Economic Infrastructure: Contingency strikes focused on central energy, electricity, and national economic installations.
- Home Front Readiness: The Home Front Command and Air Defense arrays are positioned for potential multi-front escalations, particularly focusing on retaliatory threats from Hezbollah in Lebanon.
"The IDF is prepared in both defense and offense, and the targets are marked," Minister Katz stated following the high-level meeting at the Kirya defense headquarters with IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Eyal Zamir. "This strike will be different and lethal, delivering devastating blows to the most sensitive vulnerabilities."
Israeli intelligence reports suggest that while the Iranian regime has faced severe strain from the conflict and ongoing economic sanctions, the IRGC is actively working to rehabilitate its military apparatus. Officials note that current tensions remain at a critical peak as Israel coordinates closely with international allies, warning that regional dynamics could shift rapidly within the coming hours.
