This Israeli farmer was too busy watching the soccer to check his lottery ticket - then this happened

In what might be the most relaxed lottery win ever, a farmer in his 30s discovered he'd won 14 million shekels while trying to distract himself from a tense football match.

"I was honestly more focused on the game," he admitted with a laugh to lottery officials. During a particularly nerve-wracking moment, he decided to check his lottery numbers - you know, to relieve some tension. Plot twist: he had the winning ticket but was too caught up in the match to notice at first!

The lucky winner had been faithfully playing the same computer-generated numbers for six years. "I had a feeling that if fate chose these numbers, I should stick with them," he explained. That hunch certainly paid off.

In an almost spooky twist, he and his cousin had spent the past two months visualizing their "victory lap" to collect lottery winnings. "We actually practiced imagining driving to the lottery office together," he shared. "And then it actually happened!"

When the magnitude of his win finally sank in (post-football match, of course), he couldn't wait to share the news. He called his father and brother late at night, causing a minor panic - they rushed over expecting bad news, only to find themselves celebrating instead.
