Following a joint decision by Mayor Moshe Lion, the Ministry of Education, and the Parents Association, Jerusalem will resume several educational activities starting Tuesday, March 24.
The move aims to maintain a safe educational routine while adhering strictly to Home Front Command safety protocols.
The reopening includes all comprehensive special education institutions and the "Nitzanim" holiday camps for preschools across the General and Ultra-Orthodox sectors.
Key details:
- Operating Hours: Camps will run from 08:00 to 13:00, with afternoon programs (Tzaharon) continuing until 16:00.
- Safety Standards: Activities will only take place in facilities with standard protected spaces (shelters). Children in buildings without adequate protection will be reassigned to alternative secure locations.
- Transportation: No municipal shuttle services will be provided at this stage.
- Voluntary Attendance: Participation remains optional for all families.
The Jerusalem Municipality emphasized that it remains in constant coordination with security authorities to ensure the well-being of all students.
