A violent shooting at the Ramot Junction in northern Jerusalem has claimed the lives of six people this morning, with authorities releasing their identities.
The attack has sent shockwaves through the capital, prompting a swift security response amid escalating tensions in the region. Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics were on the scene within minutes, reporting that gunmen opened fire on a crowded bus, wounding approximately 15 individuals, some in critical condition.
The assailants were neutralized at the scene.
The confirmed victims are:
- Levi Yitzchak Pash, an employee of Kol Torah Yeshivah
- Yaakov Pinto, 25, an immigrant from Spain
- Yisrael Matsner, 28, a Jerusalem resident
- Rabbi Yosef David, 43, a local from the Ramot neighborhood
- Sarah Mendelson, 60, from the Ramat Shlomo neighborhood of Jerusalem.
- Mordechai Shteintzag, 79. He was also known as Doctor Mark, owner of the well-known bakery 'Doctor Mark's Pastry', in Beit Shemesh, per Ynet.
