Opposition leader Yair Lapid addressed claims by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that opposition parties are boycotting him, flatly rejecting the assertion in an interview Monday morning on Israel Defense Forces Radio. "That's complete nonsense," Lapid said. "He never once picked up the phone, reached out, or wanted to form a government with us --- it's a myth. Netanyahu chose to be in a coalition with these parties."
Lapid also commented on the recent decision by politician Segalovitz to join Ra'am, the Islamist party in the Knesset. "I think Segalovitz is making a mistake joining Ra'am. We had long conversations about this. but at least he's doing what he believes in, and I respect him for that," Lapid said.
