In a striking and highly visible gesture of gratitude toward US President Donald Trump, the largest American flag ever flown in Israel has been hoisted over the settlement of Ateret in the Binyamin region of Judea and Samaria.
The massive banner, reportedly measuring approximately 26 by 36 feet (about 8 by 11 meters), was strategically positioned along the main eastern approach path to Ben-Gurion International Airport, ensuring maximum visibility for arriving passengers.
A 'Sky-Size' Thank You for Peace Deal
The Binyamin Regional Council confirmed the display was erected as a direct salute to President Trump for his decisive role in brokering the recent ceasefire and hostage release agreement. Local officials stated the gesture is aimed at recognizing the American efforts to restore stability for Israeli citizens.
The choice of the Ateret ridge was highly deliberate. The site sits directly under a major flight path, allowing the red, white, and blue banner to be visible from thousands of feet in the air to passengers on the final approach to Israel’s primary gateway. The Council has previously utilized the same 98-foot pole to display a giant Israeli flag, making the current American display a powerful symbolic echo.
