Amid sharp political attacks and concerns within Israel's right-wing bloc about smaller parties failing to cross the electoral threshold, Ofer Winter, chairman of the Amcha Yisrael party and a reserve lieutenant colonel, has issued a pointed response to his critics.
"I've heard some saying that Amcha Yisrael endangers the right-wing camp," Winter began, before presenting a list of what he considers the real threats to both the political bloc and the nation. "What endangers the right-wing camp and all of Israel is kites from Gaza. What endangers the right-wing camp and all of Israel is hundreds of aid trucks to the Strip every day. What endangers the right-wing camp and all of Israel is thousands of Nukhba fighters under everyone's noses, in Gaza and in Judea and Samaria."
He also addressed domestic and social issues currently on the national agenda: "What endangers the right-wing camp is that we allow draft evasion from the IDF and don't fight for haredi integration. What endangers the right-wing camp and all of Israel is that those who give and fight – don't receive what they deserve to receive."
