Central Israel Under Fire: 18 Injured in Ramla as Rocket Barrage Slams the City
Emergency services have evacuated 18 people to hospitals in central Israel following a significant rocket barrage from Lebanon that caused structural damage and widespread panic in Ramla.

A heavy rocket barrage launched from Lebanon late tonight has resulted in 18 injuries in the city of Ramle, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing war. While the Iron Dome intercepted many projectiles, several impacts or fragments caused substantial damage to residential areas. Hospitals in the region, including the Kaplan Medical Center and Shamir-Assaf Harofeh, have been flooded with victims suffering from a range of injuries, from head trauma caused by collapsing ceilings to shrapnel wounds and severe anxiety. Despite the terrifying nature of the strikes, medical officials have confirmed that all 18 victims are currently in stable or light condition.
Carnage in the City
The Kaplan Medical Center in Rehovot reported that it received 13 of the casualties. According to hospital officials, several of these patients arrived with head injuries sustained when ceilings collapsed inside their homes due to the blast force of the explosions. Others were injured while sprinting to protected spaces, suffering from falls and limb injuries. A significant portion of those admitted are being treated for shock and acute anxiety symptoms. At Shamir-Assaf Harofeh Medical Center, another five victims were admitted, including four women and one man, all described as being in light condition.
Individual Stories of the Strike
The Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency service provided details on specific incidents within the city. Among those evacuated were a 32 year old man who was struck by a heavy object thrown into the air by an explosion, and a 38 year old woman who suffered a traumatic leg injury. Other victims were treated for injuries caused by blast waves and glass shards that shattered throughout residential streets. MDA paramedics worked under fire to provide initial life saving treatment before transporting the wounded to nearby trauma centers.
Immediate Retaliation
The Israeli military responded with extreme speed to the attack on central Israel. An IDF spokesperson announced that within mere minutes of the rockets crossing the border, the Air Force identified the specific launcher in Lebanon used for the barrage. The launcher was successfully targeted and destroyed in a precision strike, preventing further fire from that specific site. This "closed loop" operation is part of the military’s ongoing effort to neutralize Hezbollah’s long range capabilities while the war continues to intensify on both the northern and eastern fronts.
