Ahead of the leadership elections for the Labor Party and extreme leftist MK Yair Golan's official announcement of his intention to run for office, a new Knesset survey by the Jerusalem Post gave the Labor Party under his leadership only four seats.

According to the survey, if Golan ends up leading the party, the political map will look like this: The State Camp under Benny Gantz - 41 seats, Likud - 18, Yesh Atid - 10, Shas - 10, Liberman's Yisrael Beytenu - 9, Otzma Yehudit - 9, United Torah Judaism (UTJ) - 6, Hadash-Ta'al - 5. Religious Zionism Party headed by Bezalel Smotrich - 4, Labor led by Yair Golan - 4, and Ra'am - 4.

Below the voting threshold: Meretz - 2.9%. Balad - 1.8%.

The survey also examined a scenario in which former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, one-time Minister of Communications, Yoaz Hendel, former Mossad chief Yossi Cohen, and Gideon Sa'ar compete for leadership of independent parties, and Yair Golan leads a united Labor-Meretz list.

In such a scenario, the electoral map would look like this: the State Camp - 28, Likud - 16, Shas - 10, A party headed by Bennett - 9, Yesh Atid - 9, Otzma Yehudit - 9, The Left Union led by Golan - 7, United Torah Judaism - 6, Yisrael Beytenu - 6, Reservists' party led by Yoaz Handel - 5. Party led by Yossi Cohen - 5, Hadash-Ta'al - 5, and Ra'am - 5.

Below voting threshold: Religious Zionism Party - 2.9% Party led by Gideon Sa'ar - 1.8% Balad - 1.8%.
