State to Supreme Court: We are working to draft Charedim in the immediate future

The government submitted a response to the Supreme Court regarding the draft, saying they are engaged in staff work to immediately draft Charedim and work to ensure continued drafting of Charedim in the longer term.

The government submitted its response to the Supreme Court regarding the draft of Charedi yeshivah students to the IDF today (Wednesday), per which the IDF and the Defense Ministry are working on a plan of action to implement the draft of Charedim in the immediate term.

In the response, the state said "already during December 2023, the Defense Ministry and the IDF began staff work to advance the integration of members of the Charedi public. The staff work is continuing these days in order to form a plan of action and actions by the relevant bodies in the IDF and the Defense Ministry to implement the draft of Charedim in the immediate term, and actions which will also influence the draft in the longer terms."

According to the state response, the staff work will be concluded within a few weeks.
