Huge fire breaks out near Rehelim: first row of houses evacuated

A huge fire near the settlement of Rehelim in Samaria endangers the houses of the settlement. The fire is moving under the cover of winds on several fronts. Firefighters and volunteers are deployed in the area to try to prevent the fire from spreading to the nearby houses.

Four firefighting planes from the Elad squadron were launched to assist and about ten firefighting teams are working on the scene.

Due to the strength of the winds, the evacuation of the first line of houses was ordered. More teams are on their way to the scene. As a result of the fire, Route 60 was closed to traffic in both directions, from the Savia junction to the Rachel junction.
