U.S. commanders in the Middle East argue that the presence of a U.S. aircraft carrier and associated warships has been an effective deterrent in the region, especially for Iran. At the same time, it was reported that the American aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln, which arrived in the Gulf of Oman a few weeks ago, would remain in the area to warn the Iran to refrain from taking any action against Israel.
