Sirens sound in Caesarea and Tirat Carmel as rockets fired from Lebanon

The IDF confirms two rockets launched from Lebanon were intercepted amid continued fire on northern Israel.

Alarms sounded Wednesday morning in Caesarea and Tirat Carmel and the surrounding areas. Explosions were heard and interceptions were observed in the skies of the area. The IDF announced that two rockets had been successfully intercepted over the Carmel.

At this time, there are no known casualties, falls or damage in the area and no calls have been received at emergency centers.

The IDF Spokesperson announced: "Following warnings activated in the areas of Menashe, the Gulf and Carmel, two launches were identified that crossed from Lebanese territory and were successfully intercepted."

Earlier today (Wednesday), the IDF reported that three fighters were seriously wounded in battles yesterday and overnight in southern Lebanon, two of whom are regular combatants and a reserve combatant who serves as a field investigator for Unit 504. In another incident, during the last night, a reserve soldier from the 8207th Battalion of the Northern Nahal Brigade, the 228th Brigade, was also seriously wounded. The fighters were evacuated to a hospital for medical treatment and their families were informed.
