An advisor to the Iraqi Prime Minister said today (Sunday) that "we cannot rule out the possibility of an Israeli strike against Iraq, but we do not want to give Israel excuses to do so. Iraq is not interested in becoming the arena of military actions for any party," according to Kann reporter Roi Kais.

Kann News has further reported that although Israel firmly believes the Iranian attack will come for certain, there are no clear signs as to when or where it will come from, and Israel has detected no movement of Iranian ballistic missiles into firing positions.

Some reports state that Iran will try and launch a third wave of missiles and drones from Iraqi territory in order to deny Israel the justification for striking sites on Iranian soil, and Iran-backed militias have indeed increased the number of drones launched against Israel.

The IDF has been coordinating with CENTCOM regarding both defense and a possible response to any Iranian attack, and the United States reportedly told Iran that a third attack on Israel would mean an Israeli retaliation that the US would not be able to restrain.
