Victims Died Due to Ambulance Delay

A Sydney witness showed the dried blood of victims, claiming that two people he tried to save died because the ambulance "didn't arrive on time" during the five minutes of "nonstop" shooting.

Chaos and Blood on the Beach

In a deeply distressing interview with Sharri Markson of Sky News Australia, two witnesses who survived the mass antisemitic terror attack at Bondi Beach described the sheer horror and scale of the massacre.

One witness, identified only as Vlad, a State Emergency Services chaplain, visibly displayed the trauma of the event, raising his hand to the camera to show the dried blood of victims he had desperately tried to treat.

Vlad recounted the immediate chaos when the shooting erupted. He was with his eight-year-old son and immediately pushed the boy to the ground and covered him. A security guard who was shot fell on top of Vlad. He estimated that he heard between 50 and 60 gunshots during the five minutes of "nonstop" shooting.

The Agony of Delayed Help

After the gunfire ceased, Vlad immediately began treating the security guard and then moved on to help other victims, only to be overwhelmed by the carnage. "I was just covering bodies because there were people dead everywhere," Vlad said. "Young, old, rabbi, they're all dead."

In one of the most agonizing moments of the account, Vlad claimed that delayed emergency response contributed to further loss of life. "And then two people while we tried to save them, because the ambulance didn't arrive on time. And then everyone came," he stated. He recalled attempting to save an elderly woman who had been shot in the leg and later succumbed, as well as an elderly man who was shot in the head. "I couldn't help him, he died," Vlad said about the man.

Vlad tragically estimated the final count of the massacre resulted in "dozens killed and more than dozens injured." Both witnesses confirmed that the victims were people they knew personally, underscoring the attack’s devastating impact on the tightly knit Jewish community.

Vowing to Keep the Light On

Despite the horrific experience, Vlad concluded his account with a defiant message of resilience and strength. He vowed to light the Hanukkah candles he had purchased at the event at home, stating he would "keep the show going" to show the terrorists and the world that "we are not afraid."

The testimony paints a grim picture of not only the cold-blooded brutality of the terrorists but also the moments of heroic courage displayed by civilians like Vlad, who risked their own lives to save others in the frantic moments before official help arrived.
