What was supposed to be a celebratory Gazan union turned into a massive physical confrontation this week as ideological tensions over the current war boiled over.

Footage circulating on social media, originally highlighted by the Visegrad account, shows hundreds of Gazans engaged in a "war of chairs." The scene, reminiscent of famous mass brawls at Israeli resort hotels, saw guests hurling plastic chairs and trading blows in a chaotic free-for-all.

The Trigger: Blaming Hamas

According to reports, the violence was sparked by a heated debate between prominent families and tribal members regarding the October 7th massacre.

The verbal argument quickly escalated into a violent clash, pitting those blame Hamas for the current ruin against those who remain loyal to the group’s ideology.

Hamas Intervention

The situation grew so out of control that Hamas security forces, who maintain a heavily armed presence in the Strip despite ongoing international discussions about "the day after," were forced to intervene. The armed units reportedly used force to suppress the rioters and restore order to the event.

Rising Frustration

While Hamas continues to hold a tight grip on the territory and refuses to lay down its arms, this "chair war" is seen by analysts as a visible symptom of a growing undercurrent of frustration. As the humanitarian toll deepens, the internal debate over the cost of the conflict is increasingly spilling out from private homes into the public sphere.
