Strategic adviser and communications figure Barak Seri has analysed the moves of former prime minister Naftali Bennett in real time during the election campaign, pointing to an unusual determination in his headquarters just 18 days before polling day.

"18 days to the election and Bennett is literally burning up the ground," Seri wrote in remarks he published. "Media, videos, conferences, parliaments in Likud cities, arguing, shouting, working very hard. With the black T-shirt, with fire in his eyes, hungry like crazy."

Alongside his description of the aggressive ground campaign, Seri addressed what he sees as the tactical error Bennett made in the past when facing attacks from the right: "Today it's clear he made a huge mistake when he didn't respond to the character assassination that Netanyahu's poison machine did to him when he dared, from their point of view, to sit in the prime minister's chair. He knows how to fight, he should have thrown bombs back in their faces but he preferred to work and let them run wild against him. Now he's repairing the damage they did to him then."
