Hassan-Nahoum stoned in Judea and Samaria hasbara tour

A routine hasbara tour in Judea and Samaria turned into a test of resolve Monday morning when a vehicle carrying Fleur Hassan-Nahoum, number five on the Amcha Yisrael. slate led by Ofer Winter, came under stone attack while passing through the village of Turmus Ayya in the Binyamin region. The incident occurred during a joint tour with the Regavim movement, attended by influencers and opinion leaders from abroad.

Hassan-Nahoum, a veteran hasbara activist and former deputy mayor of Jerusalem, said immediately after the attack: "Palestinian terror will not deter us. I will continue to fight for the name of the State of Israel in the world." Her message was clear: the stones hitting the vehicle only strengthen the need for hasbara work with international audiences.

The tour was designed to show foreign influencers the reality on the ground in Judea and Samaria. Regavim, known for its work on land issues and combating illegal construction, organised the visit as part of a broader effort to convey the full picture beyond the headlines. Turmus Ayya itself is known as a sensitive village in the area, where clashes occur frequently, and whose residents have strong international ties, including many American citizenships.

The incident joins a string of stone-throwing attacks in the area that same morning, which also hit other vehicles. But the context, a hasbara tour with guests from abroad, makes it especially symbolic. While many talk about "hasbara", Hassan-Nahoum and her companions experienced it firsthand: not in studios, but on the road.

"This is exactly the story that needs to be told to the world," sources on the tour said. The stones did not just break glass, they shattered illusions. And Hassan-Nahoum's response shows that among some Israelis, at least, resolve does not shatter easily.

Hassan-Nahoum previously participated in Jerusalem's Pride Parade, which drew criticism from the chareidi public. At the time she claimed she had consulted with Ze'ev Elkin, but Elkin's office stated that "Fleur Hassan-Nahoum marched in the parade in a personal capacity and not as a representative of Minister Elkin or of the Jerusalem Will Succeed list, and therefore did not seek Minister Elkin's permission to participate in the parade."
