IDF Eliminates 4 Hamas, PIJ Terrorists in Gaza Ceasefire Breach

The IDF announced Monday evening that three terrorists from the military wings of Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad were eliminated yesterday in multiple strikes across the Gaza Strip. A fourth terrorist was killed in a strike carried out over the weekend.

According to the statement, the terrorists eliminated yesterday were: Alaa Abu Zaid, a terrorist in the military wing of Palestinian Islamic Jihad; Hamdan Suleiman Ibrahim Abu Amra, a terrorist in the military wing of Palestinian Islamic Jihad; and Fawzi Salam Odat Allah Suwarkha, a sniper in the military wing of Hamas who advanced sniper operations against IDF forces.

In an additional strike carried out in northern Gaza over the weekend, the IDF eliminated Muhammad Anan Muhammad al-Rawaj, head of a Nukhba cell in the military wing of Hamas.

The IDF clarified that throughout the war and particularly in recent weeks, the terrorists advanced terror operations against IDF forces and Israeli civilians and worked to restore the military capabilities of the organization, in systematic violation of the ceasefire. The terrorists were eliminated from the air to remove the threat.

As reported, IDF forces yesterday identified three terrorists emerging from a tunnel shaft in the Khan Yunis area west of the Yellow Line. Shortly after the identification, aircraft struck the shaft and the terrorists, and hits on the targets were confirmed. Following the strike, secondary explosions were identified indicating the presence of combat equipment in the shaft.

Several days ago, the IDF and Shin Bet eliminated Muhammad Halawa, a commander in the military intelligence apparatus of Hamas's military wing, in the Gaza City area. In another strike last week, Ahmad Zahir Fuad Abu-Oda, an engineering commander in the organization's military wing, was eliminated.

The IDF Spokesperson clarified that IDF forces under Southern Command are deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue to operate to remove any threat.
