Likud responded Sunday to the joint statement by Central Elections Committee chairman Justice Noam Solberg, Shin Bet chief David Zini, and Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara, in which they addressed the investigation into suspected election interference and stated explicitly that the elections were conducted properly and the results as a whole were not compromised. Despite the unequivocal language, Likud continued to challenge the results and claimed there is doubt about their reliability until the investigation concludes.
Likud: Solberg's claim "very strange"
Likud continues to challenge election results despite joint statement by Central Elections Committee chairman, Shin Bet chief and attorney general affirming integrity of vote

"It is very strange how Justice Solberg says these are very serious suspicions of foreign funding, and at the same time determines in advance that they have no impact on the election results before the investigation is finished," the Likud statement said.
According to the party, "only 4,612 votes separated the transfer of a mandate from Ra'am to the right-wing bloc, something that would have completely changed the election results and the political map."
"We demand a swift and thorough investigation in order to preserve the integrity of Knesset elections and the sovereignty of the people," the statement concluded. "Until the investigation is completed, a black cloud hangs over the election results in Israel."
