Thomas Burke, the US Envoy to Syria, and Morgan Ortagus, Deputy of Middle East Envoy Steve Witkoff, are set to visit Israel next week, according to a report today (Thursday) by Kann News.

The two are arriving at around the same time as the convention of the ceasefire committee in Lebanon, which aims to oversee the progress of the ceasefire in the north and the continued disarmament of Hezbollah in Lebanon.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the Lebanese Army has dismantled most of Hezbollah's terrorist infrastructure south of the Litani River, with the help of IDF intelligence.

Israeli indirect talks with Syria are also continuing with some Israeli and American officials hoping that Syria can join the Abraham Accords. A recent poll of Syrians shows about 40% supporting a peace deal with Israel as opposed to 46% against, but with 60% believing such a deal will happen in the future.
