Elon vs. Trump

Musk Drops Epstein Bombshell: Is Trump Hiding a Dark Secret?

Elon Musk and President Donald Trump are locked in a heated public dispute over a controversial budget bill, culminating in Musk’s explosive claim on X linking Trump to unreleased Jeffrey Epstein documents. The feud, marked by personal attacks and threats to Tesla’s subsidies, has triggered a sharp decline in the company’s stock value.

Elon Musk has further escalated his feud with President Donald Trump, posting on X that “Donald Trump is in the Epstein files. That’s the real reason they haven’t been released.” The bombshell accusation came hours after Trump publicly criticized Musk from the Oval Office, expressing deep disappointment and accusing him of losing control. “It’s time to drop the real bomb,” Musk wrote, adding, “Have a nice day, DJT!” The claim, referencing the unreleased documents tied to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, sent shockwaves through political and financial circles, coinciding with a nearly 10% drop in Tesla’s stock, wiping out nearly $100 billion in market value, as shown in the finance card above.

The clash stemmed from disagreements over Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” a massive budget legislation package encompassing tax reforms and domestic policy changes. Musk fiercely opposed it, calling it “the giant, scandalous, pork-filled law is a disgusting abomination” on X and threatening Congress members who supported it: “All the politicians who betrayed the American people and backed this pork-filled law we will get rid of you.”

The billionaire also accused Trump of ingratitude claiming that President Donald Trump would've lost the 2024 election without him stating in a post on X “Without me, Trump would have lost the election, Dems would control the House and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate.”

“Such ingratitude,” he added.

Trump retaliated, stating on social media, “My patience with Elon is done. I asked him to leave, cancelled the law forcing everyone to buy electric cars nobody wanted (he knew for months I’d do this!), and he just went nuts!” Trump also hinted at cutting Musk’s government subsidies, saying, “The easiest way to save billions is to end Elon’s subsidies and contracts. I’m surprised Biden didn’t do it!”

Musk, who recently resigned from his role leading the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), initially responded to Trump’s attacks with, “Such an obvious lie. So sad.” His tenure at DOGE, aimed at slashing federal spending, sparked controversy with attempts to gut agencies and fire thousands, many of which were halted by courts. Musk’s Epstein allegation, lacking evidence, appears to leverage Trump’s past association with Epstein to undermine him, intensifying their rift and raising questions about the political fallout and Tesla’s future amid this high-stakes confrontation.
