A wave of anti-Semitic violence has gripped the British capital, with multiple Jewish institutions targeted in arson attempts over the past several days. The latest incident involved a firebombing attempt at a synagogue in Kenton, North-West London—the third such attack in a single week. This follows previous attempts to set fire to a Reform synagogue in Finchley, the vandalism of Jewish businesses, and a suspected chemical attack on the Israeli embassy.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer reacted forcefully to the incidents, stating he is "appalled" by the "despicable" actions. "Attacks on our Jewish community are attacks on Britain," Starmer declared. "We are increasing policing, and those responsible will be found and prosecuted. We will not rest in the pursuit of the perpetrators."

Criticism Amid Rising Tensions

Despite Starmer’s strong rhetoric, British Jewish organizations and anti-Semitism watchdogs are pointing to a "catastrophic failure" by the state. Groups like the "Campaign Against Antisemitism" argue that the government’s refusal to ban the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has allowed foreign-backed extremism to flourish. Intelligence suggests that many of these attacks are orchestrated by Iranian proxies using local criminal gangs.

The Prime Minister’s current stance is also under scrutiny due to his recent critical remarks regarding Israel's actions, his refusal to join President Trump’s initiative to impose a blockade on the Strait of Hormuz, and comparing him to president putin. Critics suggest that this diplomatic friction with Israel and the U.S., combined with a perceived "soft" approach toward Iranian sensitivities, may be emboldening extremist elements within the UK.

While the government has promised increased security, the Jewish community remains on high alert as authorities scramble to catch those behind what many describe as a daily campaign of terror.
