President Donald Trump delivered a blunt ultimatum to the Iranian leadership on Tuesday, declaring that the Islamic Republic will not survive if it refuses to reach a new diplomatic agreement with the United States. Speaking from the Oval Office, the President described the current situation as a limited war, asserting that Iran has no chance of victory against American military might. He emphasized that his administration is prepared to end the standoff very quickly and systematically, though he noted that the Iranians appear desperate for a deal despite their public rhetoric.

A primary focus of the President’s address was the prevention of an Iranian nuclear weapon. "We cannot let this bunch of madmen have nuclear weapons," Trump stated, warning that the entire world would face unimaginable problems if the regime succeeded. He revealed that without American strikes conducted in June, Iran would have possessed a nuclear weapon within two weeks. He vowed that the U.S. will not allow them to continue enriching uranium, calling the Iranian leadership "sick people" who must be stopped from achieving their nuclear ambitions.

Trump also provided updates on the effectiveness of the maritime blockade, claiming that no ships have successfully bypassed the restrictions. He noted that while several vessels attempted to break the blockade, their engines were promptly disabled in response. He mocked the Iranian Navy, describing it as a collection of "small boats" with small crews because the regime lacks legitimate large scale naval vessels. According to Trump, these fast boats have been used to fire at targets, but they are no match for the U.S. fleet currently enforcing Operation Freedom.

Regarding the internal state of Iran, the President addressed the possibility of arming protesters. While he hesitated to confirm a plan, he admitted that people have asked for such support. He offered a grim view of the current protests, suggesting that while hundreds of thousands want to demonstrate, they lack the courage because they are unarmed. He described scenes of a few armed regime members shooting protesters "straight between the eyes," causing the crowds to scatter. "I tell them not to go out," Trump remarked, noting the extreme danger faced by the unarmed populace.

The President also touched on his relationship with Chinese President Xi Jinping, whom he is scheduled to meet next week. Trump praised Xi for being respectful regarding the Iranian crisis, noting that China receives roughly 60% of its oil through the Strait of Hormuz. He attributed China's lack of challenge to his own personal influence, stating that Xi would not challenge the U.S. because of the relationship they share. Trump expressed a desire for the Iranian economy to continue its collapse to ensure an American victory, though he insisted he does not want to "go in and kill people."

In a final call for capitulation, Trump suggested that the Iranian regime is too proud to show a white flag, even though that is exactly what they need to do. "They need to wave the flag, the white flag of surrender," he said. He questioned when the regime would finally "cry uncle," using the American slang for admitting defeat. As the pressure mounts, the President remains convinced that the combination of economic strangulation and military superiority will eventually force Tehran to scream for mercy.
