From Firebrand to Footnote
Ben Gvir Makes a Fool of Himself - Again
He threatened to bring change, promised to walk out when red lines were crossed, and now watches helplessly as policy is shaped without him—clinging to his seat and shouting from the sidelines.

Itamar Ben Gvir once dreamed of making history as a bold Jewish leader who would bring “transfer” back into the national discourse, restore sovereignty, and demand absolute deterrence. In reality, he has become a sad political joke sitting around the cabinet table.
He made all kinds of promises: that he would only join a government that takes a hard line against Hamas, that he would bring law and order, that there would be true “governability.”
But the moment a security decision, like the prisoner deal, didn’t suit him, he stormed out of the coalition, only to crawl right back in, almost pathetically, with nothing having changed.
And now? It’s happening again. He stands in front of the cameras, yelling that “Netanyahu is making a grave mistake,” demanding a cabinet vote, only to back down again when humanitarian aid flows into Gaza against his will. Instead of taking real action, he just posts angry messages on Telegram.
Ben Gvir loves photo-ops on bulldozers, loves to look tough. But when the moment calls for real political courage, he just clings to his chair. That’s the real issue: more than principles or ideology, it’s clear what really matters to him is the seat, the office, and the entourage.
Because if he truly believed in the things he preaches, he wouldn’t let the oppisite of them happen again and again without consequence. He would resign, bring down the government, or at least stand firm.
But he doesn’t. And the public sees it.
