Iranian parliament member Kamran Ghazanfari has asserted that Iran may already have nuclear weapons capability.
Ghazanfari made the claim when the news site Didban Iran put a question to him.
"It can be assessed that we may have already achieved this capability. If the US and Israel threaten us with the use of nuclear weapons, they should know that we will respond in kind and use similar weapons against them," Ghazanfari said.
He claimed that Iran has developed intercontinental missiles with the range to reach both the US and Europe and warned European countries that they would face military attacks on their own territory, as well as economic pressure should the Strait of Hormuz be closed.
