In a historic development, U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed that Israel and Hamas have signed the first phase of a peace agreement, marking a major step toward ending the prolonged conflict.
The announcement includes a ceasefire and the imminent release of all hostages held in Gaza, alongside an initial Israeli troop withdrawal to agreed-upon lines.
"I am very proud to announce that Israel and Hamas have both signed off on the first phase of our peace plan," Trump stated. "This means that all hostages will be released very soon, and Israel will withdrawt heir troops to an agreed upon line as the first steps toward a strong, durable, and everlasting peace".
