A short time ago (Tuesday), the Likud announced that full agreement on the formation of an emergency government was registered at a meeting of the coalition leaders, and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was authorized to work towards its formation.

As reported earlier, National Security Minister Ben Gvir was creating difficulties in forming a unity government with the State Camp party. According to reporting by Dafna Liel, sources in the Prime Minister's Office say that Ben Gvir opposes forming any security forum beyond the existing security cabinet. According to them, he only supports the establishment of an emergency government, despite his view of Gantz and Eisenkot, who are responsible for today's failures due to their being former heads of the defense establishment.

Akunis: "The People of Israel will not forgive those who prevent forming the government"

Culture and Sport Minister Mickey Zohar responded: "Ben Gvir, this is not the time for politics. This is the time for an immediate, unconditional unity government which will lead the People of Israel to a decisive victory against the scum in Gaza. Enough with wasting time on nonsense, the People of Israel are fighting for their life."

Minister Ofir Akunis: "The emergency government needs to be formed - today! The People of Israel will not forget and will not forgive those who try to prevent its formation in this hour." Earlier, President Yitzhak Herzog called for the formation of a national emergency government over the course of the day, "to show we are not divided and not split, but rather advancing and charging forward to our next goals as a nation."
