The leader of the Yisrael Beiteinu party, Avigdor Lieberman, tweeted on his Twitter account that humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip should be conditional upon the Red Cross visiting the captives.
In his tweet, he wrote, "Before humanitarian aid reaches the residents of Gaza, Red Cross representatives must visit the Israeli captives and ensure that they are held under appropriate conditions as required by international law. Only then can we allow the transfer of humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza. We must not agree to provide one-sided assistance exclusively to the residents of Gaza. We cannot abandon our captives."

Lieberman's statements come in response to reports that the IDF will allow excess supply convoys and assistance from Egypt to enter the Gaza Strip. The IDF emphasizes that this is not a ceasefire but rather an opportunity to bring goods, primarily food and medicine, to the southern part of the strip to encourage Arabs in the northern part of the strip to move south.
